Oh, my Lord, my wonderful God

Please be my guide in this world whenever trials trod

And when tribulations confront me.

Blind my eyes from the things You wouldn't have me see

There is so much to fear

Deafen my ears from the things You'd have me not hear

Close my mouth when words You'd have me not say try to leave my lips

Because there are many slips

Clear my mind of thoughts You'd have me not ponder

Many times this mind of mine likes to wander

When there are feelings of hate seal my heart with love

Please let me be aware of all the love that's above

And as evil rise up and grasp my soul

let me feel You as the center of my soul

Show me how to live a life worthy of everything You are and want me to be

I need You as my guide in this world whatever befalls on me

For I know since nothing is guaranteed in this existence without You

With You everything is made brand new

I pray you'll lead me down this ever changing road called life

We both know this world is full of strife

Everything I am or will become is because you loved me enough

To hold out your hand for me to grab and take hold of what’s rough 

Because if you are there when I travel down this road

And whatever this world has to offer me I will not fold

I will be able to face anything and everything that comes my way
